He recently did a mini-series on PBS. I wished I had caught it at the beginning. I'll see if UTV can sniff it out for me.
I've picked the book up several times over at Barnes and Noble (always end up bringing something else home.) I'll get to it eventually.
Posted by: Mason at June 24, 2004 07:25 PMThe mini-series I saw was for his first book The Elegant Universe. That was a stunning assessment of the current state of physics (his primary interest being string theory) and its ties to cosmology. It was one of the most read-able books I've read on the subject. His various explanations of relativity alone made it worthwhile.
The PBS series was nice (he loves his subject so he's engaging to listen to), but it was too light. Even with non-fiction, the book can be better than the movie!
