Accursed serial numbers!

That serial numbers site saves me again! And for the same reason: we own the software, but no one had written down the serial number (probably provided on the disposable packaging).

So how does this work? It gives you a key or serial number to use?

Yep. Search for the software (in this case "Crystal Reports") and it lists the many versions that have serial numbers. There were around 10 to 15 results for Crystal covering different numbered versions along with different packages such as Developer Edition, Professional Edition, etc. Click on the closest match, and you get the key and serial number that the installation requires.

Each key displays the percent of successful feedback, and you are able to provide feedback whether it worked for you. The key I used was only 52% successful, but still worked for me.

Oh, and whenever I say "I did this" or "I illegally copied that," always insert the adverb "hypothetically."
