Podcast music, 2

Another set finally pieced together with the ideas I had left over from the first suite. This has the same format of five short tracks at around 6-1/2 minutes total. You can stream the MP3 playlist here:

  1. "Lossless" (1:15) - brass and strings
  2. "Resin" (1:23) - piano and strings
  3. "Desultory" (1:07) - violin, cello, guitar
  4. "Spiral" (1:17) - brass and guitar
  5. "Herald" (1:46) - brass, woodwinds, and cello

Is there sheet music that can be generated from this? I remember long ago a now defunct plugin was an option (if only one could have installed it.) It was discussed here on this blog but I can't quite find it.

If only those danged trumpets could be substituted with a different voice/instrument.

I can post the MIDI if you wanted to do some rearranging. I think the string sounds are the most synth-y, but they're probably about par with the rest.

pfft. I can hardly read music, much less do any rearranging. Music theory and I simply don't get along at the moment. I just play...and not that well.

I was merely curious if I, personally, could learn anything from the structure of what you composed/arranged. In an immersive "see what happens" kind of way. At the moment, I have no tools that would allow me to import your MIDI. I thought, mistakenly perhaps, you had a tool that could easily output to PDF or whatever since I've seen sheet music in some form or another on several occasions in your posts.

My opinion about the trumpet voice doesn't come from a disciplined or well informed technical opinion. It's simply a matter of feel...in a Gladwell "Blink" kind of way...I think. So take it for what it's worth...which isn't much I'm afraid.
