    A flurry of anger over licensing issues related to podcasting [Wikipedia]. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't podcasting just sharing your MP3s with strangers? Attaching a cool moniker doesn't make it any different, so Wil Wheaton and the gang need to get their shit together and stop acting like this is news to them. This is the same old issue that we've had for a while, and it still needs a resolution where people don't get thrown in jail because they've passed along a mix tape.

  • Composing at the keyboard
  • [ via Hmph! (The Rambler) -> Atlanta Journal-Constitution ]

    Music blogs are a solution to the dearth of media coverage of modern composition. Damn straight! The article lists some of the blogs I read and adds many news ones ripe for perusal.

  • Groupware
  • [ via ongoing ]

    Sun's internal groupware consists of email, IM, and Wikis. It's simple, but it says it. A few start-ups back we tried to use some groupware called eRoom. I loved the idea, but it was very underused. I have a private Wiki on my site I use for development projects. I love it.

  • Color Rules of Thumb

    A good overview of color theory geared towards the Web designer but with solid, art school content. Call me a lover of useless information, but I think that everyone should study and understand these concepts. It's basic information about the world around us.

    Oh, and the same goes for music theory.
