A little over a year ago, I felt like we had a reset and were back into panic mode.
It feels again like we’re realizing there’s a catastrophe starting and the shock is as if we’ve never felt it before.

Here we are again.
A month ago on 25 Jun 2021, CNBC reported that the WHO began recommending that the vaccinated should wear masks. Yesterday, the CDC updated its guidance to recommend that the vaccinated should wear a mask indoors in high transmission areas.
Dr. Catherine O’Neal was interviewed on CNN and said that her team can only plan 12 hours at a time because the situation is declining so rapidly. The image below shows the catastrophic increase from the last month in Louisiana. Hospitalizations are up from ~200/day to ~1,500/day. To highlight the return to abnormal, in this video from almost exactly a year ago on 14 July 2020 (apologies, only available on Facebook) she is being interviewed on local station WAFB about getting people to wear masks.
